Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new strategic vision, "Companion to AI Living," at CES 2026, highlighting the company's shift toward using artificial intelligence as a foundational philosophy. The vision is centered around three core pillars: Entertainment, Home, and Care, positioning Samsung devices as active companions in daily life rather than passive tools.
The company has introduced several new products and features that showcase this vision, including the 130-inch Micro RGB display, which utilizes a micro-sized RGB light source for a wider and more detailed color spectrum. The Vision AI Companion (VAC) technology is also a key component, offering context-aware recommendations for viewing content, meal planning, and ambient music. In the home sector, Samsung's Digital Appliances Division has emphasized the transition of appliances from tools to "home companions," leveraging the SmartThings platform to integrate AI-driven appliances.
Samsung's heavy integration of AI in its future products is a significant development, with CEO TM Roh declaring that the company will embed AI across every category and every product. This move is expected to have a major impact on the tech industry, as Samsung ships around 500 million devices each year.
